The VT-01’s design enables it to be less dependent on variations in vacuum tube performance caused by manufacture and use. The Belles VT-01 circuit consists of a vacuum tube differential input amplifier with a transistor current mirror to improve gain and linearity. It is followed by a transistor voltage gain stage. The output stage is a dual cathode follower with a transistor constant current load. The VT-01 uses global feedback for stabilization, which lowers noise and distortion. The VT-01 has four 12AU7 or equivalent vacuum tubes and four line level unbalanced inputs. The result the Belles VT-01 preamplifier’s innovative design is superior musicality and clarity for audio listeners who prefer a vacuum tube preamplifier.
