The Belles 22A is one of the most outstanding values Power Modules has ever offered. The performance and engineering found in the Belles 22A is typically reserved for higher priced components. Internally, the Belles 22A is a hybrid vacuum tube design. The unit uses two 12AU7 model vacuum tubes in conjunction with power mosfet regulators. The mosfet transistor devices provide for a clean signal with lower noise. They also provide isolation for the power supply, which improves the output stereo image. The unit’s distortion is extremely low, which helps to produce greater detail and dynamics. The transistor emitter follower output is biased with a constant current source instead of a resistor. This produces lower output impedance for driving loads. The Belles 22A has also been designed to remove variances in vacuum tube behavior due to manufacture and due to changes as the tube ages. Externally, the Belles 22A Vacuum Tube Stereo Preamplifier is visually a work of art. The entire chassis us made of brushed, anodized aluminum. The front panel is one-half inch machined and engraved. The Belles 22A is available in either silver or black anodized front panels.
